The Foldex was developed in Quebec, Canada, in the 1990s through the intentional crossing of Scottish Folds and Exotic Shorthairs. Breeders aimed to create a cat that combined the folded ears and gentle nature of the Scottish Fold with the round face and plush coat of the Exotic Shorthair. Though relatively new, the Foldex has gained popularity in certain regions for its unique appearance and friendly disposition.

Personality and Behavior
